“This is the Big One for our students,” says Julie Carter, director of music education. She’s talking about the Joy of Music School’s Annual Recital, which will be held Saturday, May 11.
It’s at Knoxville’s First Christian Church, 211 W. 5th Ave., and features performances by about 65 children. This event truly captures the “joy” in our name. We strongly encourage everyone with an interest in the School to come by and see for themselves. The recital begins at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a reception featuring some delicious barbeque cooked by our own volunteers and board members.
